Emily’s Moving to Austin for Brad!!!!

YAY!!!  Emily Maynard has decided to move to Austin, Texas for Brad Womack.
For all of you who don’t know what I’m talking a/b….I’m talking a/b Brad Womack…. “The Bachelor”.  After Womack proposed on the finale of 'The Bachelor' the couple had a bumpy couple of months…but less than two weeks after their on-again-off-again  relationship woes were aired publicly, Emily has apparently decided to move to Texas to be with Brad.

Maynard and her 5-year-old daughter live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Womack announced at the start of the show and throughout that a woman's refusal to move to Austin would be a dealbreaker.

Tuesday night Womack tweeted the following:

"definitely not moving to NC...beautiful city but I'm blessed to have a wonderful career in Austin."
A Life & Style press says Maynard, 25, feels like the best thing to do is to give this a real shot and put her heart into it by moving to Austin for the summer.

Maynard is going to get her own condo in Austin. Womack says he has some very strong roots in Austin and he doesn't want to relocate. Maynard had reservations about moving, but is now focused on giving it a try.
An insider told Life & Style, "I can absolutely see a wedding ahead."

Low Carb Pizza Omelet

I know, I know....it sounds disgusting, but it's actually pretty good.  I've been trying to watch my carbs lately to try and shed a few pounds before the summer and a wedding that I'm in May 21st.  I found this recipe this weekend and tried it last night...and I'll have to say, I was very impressed with how tasty it was.
PIZZA OMELET

Read more about it at www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,165,150165-228198,00.html

  • 3 eggs
  • splash of milk
  • salt and pepper
  • mozzarella cheese
  • pizza toppings (beef, sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom, onions, olives, whatever you like!)
  • pizza sauce
Scramble 3 eggs with a splash of milk or water. Pour into a medium-low, greased skillet.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Lift edges up and let runny egg spill over the edge until eggs are set.
Flip eggs over.

On one half layer cheese, pizza toppings, and more cheese.
Fold empty half onto layered half. Warm for 30 seconds to a minute.
Flip to the other side. Warm for another 30 seconds.

Top with sauce and garnish with shredded cheese.

Tips:
  • Spaghetti sauce, seasoned tomato sauce, or salsa would all make great toppings
  • Turn your heat down once you fold the eggs over to avoid burning the omelet while melting the cheese.
  • I used 3 eggs because I have a 10 inch skillet.  This is a big omelet. Smaller skillet?  Fewer eggs.
  • If you prefer your veggies less fresh and crispy, saute them with a little butter before adding to the omelet.

Easter Egg Wreath

So I’ve been on this whole “I wanta be crafty” kick and yesterday I came across the cutest Easter Egg Wreath and thought I’d give it a shot.  Read on to see how to make this inexpensive and easy wreath.

I bought this foam wreath from Michael’s for only $6.99 –woohoo!

Then I went to Wal-Mart and got 2 bags of plastic eggs for only $1.97 a bag. –another woohoo!
After that I gathered my glue gun and started gluing.  I smooshed them as close together as I could.  Make sure the eggs don’t pop open!  I didn’t put any on the backside of my wreath, but I did do the inner and outer edges.  I used just about all of my eggs from the 2 bags that I bought, but that amount would vary based on the size of your foam wreath.

And that was it!  Not bad for less than $10!!!  After looking at it, I also thought this would make a cute centerpiece for a table as well...but I'm gonna stick to using it as a wreath for the door.  I think I’m going to loop some wire ribbon around the wreath and nail the ribbon into the top edge of my front door – the flat part on the very top, not the front of the door.   Have any of you made a similar wreath?  I’d love to see it!

Genius Craft Ideas

Just yesterday I told my roommate Claudia that I wanted to do a craft but I couldn’t think of anything crafty I really wanted to do.  I want to do something that wouldn’t be too expensive and time consuming and possibly do something that I could give away as gifts in the future….you know, practical things.

Well, sure enough, this morning, as I was looking over some blogs and I came across this adorable website called Haymarket Designs.  They sell a chic collection of décor accessories for your home, all hand painted.  This website gave me great ideas of what I could do for my next craft.  Here are some of my favorites I might try to copy and see if I can do with my own twist to it.

I mean, how cute are they?!?  I love them!  These prints are everywhere right now and this is the perfect way to add a little something without spending a fortune.  You can have any design done in a ton of different colors (she does custom color matches, too!):
She also does trash cans, picture frames and tissue box covers..

I’ll keep you posted on when I do it and of course, I’ll take pictures.  I’m pretty excited for my next craft experience.

Closet LOVE

What I wouldn't give for this to be my closet
I'm in
L.O.V.E.

Apparently, this is the closet of Meg Braff, who might be my new favorite designer.
And, anyone who has a closet this awesome, I want to be friends with
So, maybe when I win the lottery, I'll have her decorate my house and my closet

Stylish Blogger Award?!?!?!?!?!

Last week I received the "Stylish Blogger Award" from Mrs.Casey Ferri at Classic with a Pop. YAY!  Thanks so much…I didn’t even know what this was until you sent it to me.
Casey is a newly wed that lives in Florida, but originally from the Carolinas.  She has a passion for law, books and decorating.  Go check out her blog!  It’s just fabulous!

To accept this award, I’m:
1. Thanking and linking back to Casey!
2. Sharing 7 Things about myself
3. Awarding some recently discovered fantastic bloggers!
4. Contacting the bloggers and letting them know I’ve featured them.

Okay so on to the 7 things:
1.  “I love beach music, cause I was born with it in my bones.”  I am from the Carolina’s and when I hear beach or shagging music come on, it just makes my heart pitter patter.  Yes, shagging is actually a dance….the South Carolina state dance to be exact.  It’s probably one of my top 3 favorite things to do ever.  If you don’t know how, then find a Carolina girl and get her to show you.
2.  I moved to Nashville, TN about a year ago and I totally love it here.  If you’ve never been to Music City, then I highly recommend you come visit…and hey, if I like you then you can have a free place to stay.
PS: I work in the building that's lit up at the top on the left. :)

3.  I’m absolutely obsessed with Monograms.  One of my recent purchases is this lovely hat that I got monogrammed to wear to the horse race in Nashville on May 14th.

4.  Pictures- I love pictures...and with being so far away from my family and friends, this is a must have.

5.  Lotion and Chap Stick- I cannot go to sleep at night without putting either of these on.  I also use this a lot throughout the day.  Once immediately after I get out of the shower and then every time I wash my hands.  I hate the feeling of dry hands after they've been washed.  UGH!!!

6.  I was in a karaoke league -- That's right...an actual league...I'm hardcore, j/k!  I have loved singing karaoke for a long time now.  I even own a karaoke machine and have over 2000 songs...yes, it's a little obsessive, but hey, it's been very entertaining and I have a lot of good memories singing my heart out on it.

7.  I can’t go without mentioning that I have falling absolutely head over heels for a boy named Garrett.  We’ve been dating for almost 2 years now and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us.  He’s absolutely wonderful and I love and adore him with all of my heart.

Now I will pass on the award to these awesome ladies:

1. Faith at Thoughts Uncorked
2. Sweet Southern Prep
3. Pink Lou Lou at Confessions of a 20 Something
6. Megan at Ms.Sink Grows Up
7. Sully at Sullivan's Travels

Go look at their wonderful blogs! You won't be disappointed!
